A High Court Enforcement Officer is Pestering You About Someone Else's Debt

See Paragraph 10 of Schedule 12 of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007.

If an HCEO is pestering you about someone else's debt at your address, then the following letter can be handed to an HCEO at the door or sent by post. Amend the sample template to suit.

Contact the police and make a WRITTEN complaint that your family is being distressed by this company harassing you over a debt that is not yours. This may constitute an offence under Section 2 of the Protection of Harassment Act 1997.

Provide the police with copies of all the correspondence you have received and make a note of the incident number.
