Speak to a BAILIFF Expert - £35

The bailiff charged multiple fees on a single visit.

Regulation 11(3) of the Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014 says the bailiff can recover the £75 "compliance stage" fee for each debt.

Regulation 11(4)(a) of the Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014 says the bailiff can only recover the fixed fee for each stage only once regardless of the number of debts he is instructed to recover. He must also treat all the debts as a single debt for the purpose of calculating a percentage fee.

Paragraph 69 of the Taking Control of Goods: National Standards 2014 says: Where enforcement agents have multiple warrants for a single debtor, an enforcement agent must take control of goods, and sell or dispose of these goods, on the same occasion except where it is not practical to do so.

On 10 July 2012 in a report into complaint no 11 007 684 against Blaby District Council the Local Government Ombudsman ruled in paragraphs 43 that multiple levies is Maladministration and in paragraph 46 multiple fee-charging is "wholly unreasonable".
